Pigment-based inks usually stabilize quickly, at least with UltraChrome K3. Most of the time, in my experience, they seem to remain quite stable even after a half hour or perhaps less.
At any rate, since it's the HP Z3100 you're asking about, and there may be other factors which produce different results from the Epson inks. You could make a small print, say of just a few patches, take measurements with a spectrophotometer at set intervals, then calculate the CIEDE2000 from the previous measurement as well as from the initial one.
Try a schedule of measurements like this:
- right after printing
- after 15 minutes
- after 30 minutes
- after 60 minutes
- after 1 hour 30 minutes
- after 2 hours
- after 3 hours
- after 4 hours
- after 6 hours
- after 9 hours
- after 12 hours
- after 24 hours
I will be interested in hearing what your findings are.
Best regards.
