The big issue now is training/awareness right through the workflow - from phtographers , agencies and printers (pressmen) In the UK in the next few month I hope to start the process of putting together a practical Colour Management training/awareness programme for the print industry -

and a happy new year to you
I fully agree with you.
A photographer with enough knowledge on CMS, profiles and print standards
is able to create better separations than an untrained prepress guy or printer.
A well trained prepress guy will make better separations than a traditional printer.
It's not the discussion photographer, designer, advertising agency, lithographer or printer.
It's the discussion "trained, full knowledge, attitude & innovative" versus "traditional, less trained"
CMS training is essential.
Your plans to improve the awareness in your national industry are very positive.
I think.
We all need that to improve the image of our industry and to bring our customers what they want.
SERVICE! On a high LEVEL based on standards (AGREEMENT): SLA!

Henk
