Difficult process indeed. Most folks don't have the time to learn anything
anymore, or the patience.

I think that's the Photoshop Selective Editing syndrome (or drum scan
selective editing paradigm), same as in Profile Editor's CMYK selective edit
tool. It's quick, to the point but it's hard to predict the magnitude of the
edits. So, I use a bit of both.
