Don't know how accurate my script is at forcing ColorSync to do the calculations, but I got these results:

Photoshop 5 Default CMYK:  209.08
Nikon CMYK 4.0.0.3000:  400

I got some 266% for Photoshop 5 Default CMYK. (Using Photoshop an a really dark Lab image) -- maybe that's why Graeme asks for a tag.

I would ask for a stadardized Algorithm to calculate it (avoids 	redundancy)
