Nope. I can send my DNG's to any converter that supports that format. I may
not be able to take the rendering instructions to another converter but I
can't do that no matter what the initial format. Just as I can't use
Photoshop Adjustment layers or Smart Objects in Corel Paint.

Nikon tried to encrypt some WB data, didn't work. But its the thought that
counts!
