Calibration Problems on new Xerox Phaser 7760s

  • Thread-topic: Calibration Problems on new Xerox Phaser 7760s

We are currently struggling with calibration problems on our three new
Phaser 7760 Color Laser Printers and wanted to ask the list if anyone has a
solution since Xerox has at this point not been able to come up with
anything.

We are currently using their PhaserMatch / PhaserCal 4.0 software (created
by X-Rite) along with a GM EyeOne to do our daily color calibrations.

In the past we had three of their previous Phaser model 7750s -
it seemed that we were generally consistent with color matching the 3
printers to each other without too much variance.
However lately we¹ve been struggling to keep all three new Phaser 7760
printers color aligned with each other.

The Phaser Match 4 software prints out a color calibration target which
then gets measured by our EyeOne and the software automatically then sends
the resulting re-calibration to the printer.

However something¹s off since test pages on all three printers after
calibration are visually different.

I¹ve spent hours trying different variations with the PhaserMatch software
including several reiterations of print target->measure patches->send
calibrations, as well as exporting several measurements to saved files and
using the averaging capabilities of PhaserMatch before sending the
calibration on to the printers without any success.

I¹ve examined the exported measurement files of all three printers and
compared the Lab values to each other the calculated DeltaE differences
clearly show all 3 printers are not aligned to each other not sure how far
off each is from the target Lab values since I don¹t have access to this
information.

Any suggestions how to proceed from here?
