My dtp41UV has been generating a substantial amount of strip read
errors lately and just last night it refused to read the calibration
strip. Restarts, saving sessions, etc seem to do no good. Is it
possible the drive motor may have gone south, or is there a belt that
might be slipping inside? Is there anything that can be done by the
layman to crank out a few quick profiles for some samples on a new
media?
I'm using profilemaker pro 4.5. I know there tends to be an error when
you scramble the patches (which I have done), but it must be more than
that as the inability to read the calibration strip is proof the
problem does not lie simply with the black or white gap indicators.
I'm hoping to maybe find a solution before monday (dream on newbie!).
Cheers,

PS: Does anybody know if the i1isis machines can be used with both
smaller format inkjets as well as grand format format devices? I know
the dtp41 has a relatively small aperture. Is there any automated
devices that can accurately read the larger dot patterns of the
monster size printers?
