I tend to use Relative Colorimetric way more myself. I'd consider Perceptual mainly for images that require significant gamut compression where I don't want to bother tweaking it into gamut manually. One trick you might explore for minimizing hue shift with a perceptual rendering would be to separate twice, once per rendering, and then paste the RelCol version over the Perceptual version in Color or Hue mode. If you use Hue mode, watch for artifacts.
Regarding UCR, I get the sense based on various lists, that it is less favored these days than it was in older times.
Disclaimer: My experiences are more on the prepress side than the pressroom side.
