Martin’s descriptions of his findings are very clear. How he made
the findings are muddled.
Hardly. And I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to embarrass you
and Chris who are adamant that you can't get better results than
Photoshop provides.
Take a look at the files that got sent to the printer. For the sake of
uploading them I've dumped them down to 8 bit -- but apart from that
there's no change.

Nothing muddy here. I want better results than Photoshop can produce
when converting images. I get better results using Argyll.
The resident Adobe Certified Experts will just have to get over it...
