Not that you could do much with it anyway, other than some very
basic and
somewhat crude operations.
Aww, poor Marco. Somebody starts a thread about doing something
(anything) WITHOUT Photoshop and you can't stop yourself from
responding even when you've got nothing useful to say...
Back to the subject... I wondered if QuickTime would be of help here
as it was always the "Swiss Army Knife" of image processing hacks.
Has anybody tried printing a test target from QT7? I can see from the
screen that it is blissfully unaware of colour management but I can't
test the printed output at the moment.
The WWDC Keynote promised that in 10.6 it was "fully Colorsync
compliant" -- which was worrying.
And, sure enough, when I launched the new QuickTime Player I found
that it can't even open image files now! The AppleScript dictionary
has been decimated: 56 commands reduced down to 14...
ColorSync Compliance is obviously a euphemism for trashing the
usefulness of an application :(
