>>neil snape <email@hidden>: Something is buggy somewhere. This
only happened one time and only after updating from 10.6.2>10.6.3 which
is only on my portable. Ran this update last night on my little Intel
MacBook and the display now looks awful.
>>Martin Orpen <email@hidden>: So what are these "Parametric
Tone Response Curves" that are in the profile that the update generated?
I can't get the specifics because Yahoo Groups is down for maintenance
and I can't check the Yahoo EpsonWideFormat group where this issue has
been discussed over the last couple of days and...I'm pc-based so I may
get the terminology wrong...
But...
Apparently 10.6.3 does something hinky with one's monitor profiles--I
think it assigns some sort of default monitor profile--and you need to
go and check wherever the monitor profiles are stored and reset the
profile back to your own...
Hope that is somewhat intelligible given my pc-based knowledge...'-}}
Also, there was a useful post on that same list by someone who had
upgraded to 10.6.3 and then did some print testing using CS3 and CS4--I
can't remember the specifics but as soon as Yahoo Groups comes back from
the dead, I'll get the info but if I'm remembering correctly, 10.6.4 and
CS4 print properly but I *think* CS3 is now problematic...
