The HP LP2480zx Dreamcolor monitor and the HP Advanced Profiling Solution do work with Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I am getting accurate results that are written to the monitor's LUT. I did experience the program hang with APS when I first upgraded to Snow Leopard last August. What worked for me was making sure all remnants of previous versions of APS were completely removed from my system prior to installing the latest APS version. (OBIWAN Driver and the associated plist file (com.xrite.ninjad.plist) located in User/Library/Launch Agents).
I also installed the latest firmware update for the monitor (TR137.SL071.BL167Rev B) released March 7, 2010. Please note a firmware revision released July 27, 2009 increased monitor performance on Mac based systems.
Granted you need a Windows based system installed in order to perform firmware updates. I have Vista 64bit installed in a dual boot configuration on my MacBook Pro and use this machine for firmware updates.
Mac support seemed to be an add on for this monitor to increase sales. It certainly is not being maintained which is sad because the HP APS with the proprietary i1display2 puck is the only device that will accurately calibrate and profile this monitor.

Brilliant strategy. Blame someone else. Of course, the software is available on X-Rite's website: http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=1144&Action=support&SoftwareID=959
