As the color constancy of CMY toners of laser printers is often very
bad, you can print your own metamerism / color inconsistency
demonstration charts with a color laser printer: print the same colors
(e.g. gray- and skin tones) with extremely different black generation
setting (e.g obtained by means of Argyll "-kx" and "-kz" profiles), do
some fine tuning until the corresponding patches match under one
lighting condition (you might need several trials as the repeatability
of laser printers is rather poor). You can observe quite dramatic
color inconsistency effects and metamerism failures when you change the
light source.
