Hi Andy,
the definition I would use is "Correcting the instrument reflectance
readings so that the effect of the FWA/OBE is as if the media had been
measured under the actual viewing illuminant. This then means that
predictions made from the measurement (by multiplying the corrected media
reflectance by the viewing illuminant spectrum) correspond to the actual
appearance under the viewing illuminant".
Are there any other definitions that make sense ?
