In addition to the $50 per month rental, Adobe could simply continue to
offer a higher priced "paid for life" rental for a particular version of the
software rather than one with continuous updates. A rental is all we ever
had anyway. No software was ever owned by the buyer. The reason they don't
offer a long term license that doesn't involve periodic authorization is
because of rampant piracy that's able to get around installation
verification, so maybe a dongle should be an option for those who want
something that doesn't have to have a periodic authorization through an
internet connection.

I've always maintained that more end users need to post here to correct the
rose-tinted and biased views of the suppliers that predominate.
Funny how they unconsciously use the term "our" -- as in "don't waste "our"
time -- when end users moan about Adobe.
Who exactly are you representing here Thomas?
