Is there any way to make the distinction via the API? Perhaps with a
different call to change dynamic properties vs. setting properties that become
fixed after initialization? or perhaps devices could provide a list of
properties which can be dynamically changed, as a subset of the total
properties that can be set before init?
Documentation would certainly be welcome, but it seems that some of these
restrictions could change in the future. Support in the API for programmatic
determination of what properties are dynamic seems like a useful feature.
