Please keep in mind one of the Apple mailing list ground rules from <http://lists.apple.com>:
"The mailing lists are not a replacement for formal support or bug reporting procedures." This is simply because the volume of requested changes is so high (think x developers multiplied by y mailing lists) that a structured reporting system is necessary to keep track of the requests.
