Thanks Ben
Apologies that this is spinning offtopic from CoreAudio, but a quick question...
Are there a lot of modern keyboard controllers or synth workstations which SEND
release velocity and/or poly pressure? I just include poly pressure because the
few ancient keyboards which I knew about, which could send one of these, could
also send the other.
If so, could you mention some brand/models of such keyboards? I get asked this
question occasionally and it would be nice to know and accurate answer. Sure you
could manually enter poly pressure or release velocity events into some
sequencers, but in general, the ability to map release velocity to a synth param
is like suspenders on a snake unless you have a keyboard which can send the
events (GRIN).
Thanks
JCJR

If you want to talk about synths produced in the last 5ish years or so, other
than ones deliberately designed to be "retro", it might be quicker to list
those that do NOT respond to release velocity than those that do...
