MIDI control of simple AU parameter?

I'm not sure how trivial this is, but does anyone have example code for controlling an AU parameter with a MIDI controller? Say, an expression pedal or the modulation wheel.

It's for a freebie- I've done a wah pedal AU that works great if you're manipulating the slider but it would be better if it responded to a MIDI controller.
