Thanks Stefan,

you were quite right - simply returning eventNotHandledErr in the
appropriate cases fixed the problem.

I could probably implement a Cocoa view without too much trouble,
since most of my UI code is custom OpenGL - but I really don't have
the motivation to do so right now, since as far as I'm aware there are
no Cocoa-only hosts. I'll put it on the long-term to-do list.
