Hi everybody!
I’m working on adding AirPlay support to my iOS application.
The app is using AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord.
If I understood correctly Technical Q&A QA1803 https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/qa/qa1803/_index.html AirPlay is supported
by play and record category. Nevertheless I tried different combinations of audio session options and modes, but every time AirPlay
button disappears once session is started (iPad mini first generation, iOS7.1.1).
I’m also a bit confused by behaviour of Garageband application (iPad mini first generation, iOS7.1.1). When I turn AirPlay-Bluetooth
switch on, alert says that audio input is turned off, but when Garageband is in background, red “Recording” status bar is still shown,
which as far as I know requires AudioSession to be set up for recording.
Does anyone have any experience of dealing with combination of AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord and AirPlay?
Any help would be appreciated!
