Hi Arvind,
Actually, it was a driver (not an application)
compiled as 32-bit. It won't be possible to compile a
driver as 64-bit and load into 32-bit kernel...! So,
will try writing an application to read CPUID &
READMSR and see the results. Thanks for your
suggestion.
I am also interested to know how 64-bit applications
are handled using a 32-bit kernel and IA32e mode.
