Hello Santhosh,

I am no OS X kernel expert...and hence, would request someone from the
CoreOS group like Mike or Quinn to reply here.

As you said, you have a 32-bit KEXT and will be interfacing with a
64-bit application, you still will not get the intended result.
While your KEXT code is running RDMSR instruction, it will run in
32-bit mode....and then the OS X kernel would take that value, put in
user address space and switch to IA-32e mode.

I may be wrong here, so i suggest you wait for the experts to comment.
