Actually I am referring to actual physical measurements for a diverse
set of instruments with each instrument being controlled by the
instrument vendor's software; I do not need Webobjects to control the
instruments. What I do need to do is to manage the import and export
of data between instruments as well as generating reports, tests to run
on the instruments, etc. Each instrument has its own file format such
as csv, xml, plain text, and some have their own proprietary formats.
I had envisioned a database for storage of all data with Wbobjects as
the front end which can be accessed from each instruments pc. What
db's does Webobjects work the most reliably with? Additional
thoughts?
