Hi Jonathan,
What you are saying is technically correct, however WebObjects is the
only product sold by Apple were this is true. All other products are
supposed to work with the latest release of Apple OS and its companion
products (JVM, QT etc.). There have been glitches in the past (FinalCut
and QT for example) but they have been resolved in a few days. The
assumption is that it works and this is the right assumption to make.
It should be Apple burden to ensure that when they release a product or
a patch all the flock follow. If WO is not ready for 1.4.2 then the
correct decision should be to block the release and lit some fire under
the WO product manager seat.
