Interesting! Apple definitely says that 5.2.1 isn't supported on
Panther, you need 5.2.2 for Panther. But you say you have it working
without problems? I'm still confused though... you say that you DID
run into problems with XCode, but then you say you haven't yet tried
to get it working with Project Builder. So I'm confused under what
circumstances you say you have 5.2.1 working quite well on Panther?

I upgraded to Xcode and ran into problems.
I haven't explored yet whether I can get 5.2.1 to work with the left
over Project Builder. I might try to move over WO specific PB stuff
from another dev build since it was removed by XCode.
A big warning...
Do not run /Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl. It will put your
entire system into a questionable state because it removes files
listed in the XCode BOM which just happens to be some critical
system files... like tar.
Software Update stopped working... so did OpenBase's backup feature.
Resinstalling XCode fixed the problem.
But once you install a developer set, uninstalling it is not an
option, contrary to what the script says.
