That wasn't my impression...
I think your idea had a lot of merit and did not want it to go
the way of the other "great ideas".
Most seem to be on this wave-length...
In order to build any type of community site that serves the needs of a
large group of people, someone has to step and get a framework in
place so
the community can come forward and contribute.
Agreed and thanks for doing so.
I took your initial list of requirements and boiled them down into the
features and functionality that we could quickly implement with our
WebObjects based CMS.
That was my guess.
I don't want to recreate wocode.com or the other technical mailing
lists.
...which can naturally be referenced on the site. As in my last post, I
think it would be a good idea to set up a mailing list for
whywebobjects (e.g., email@hidden) to continue the
discussion of the site's contents and direction. This mailing list can
then return to its normal programme.
- We're in concert with your goals...
- It could take months of man hours to implement [all features]
- We think it is a good list to work toward.
- I think our first cut at the site will include most of your wish
list.
- we need more content.
All sounds reasonable/realistic/positive to me.
Give me the benefit of the doubt and lets see what comes out of this.
Granted ;-)
with regards,
