From what I understand of business, you can help a product gain a wide
acceptance by including it with another product that already has
acceptance (for example, IE/WMP with Windows).
However the current strategy from Apple looks like they are trying to
get acceptance for WO by including it with OS X Server - but it would
surprise me if they thought Apple hardware was strong enough to make it
on its own at this stage.
Ironically, it seems that it was WO that was bringing people to Apple
machines, after they started with WO on PCs. Now that looks no longer
possible.
I keep repeating to myself (regarding the Intel thing as well) "these
people must know what they are doing - if it doesn't make sense to me
then it is because they have more knowledge than I do".
I just hope I'm not mistaken.

The goal for WO (from Apple's perspective) is no longer to sell
licenses of the software, it's to sell hardware. Unfortunately, to
achieve this goal, it means some are going to get left behind. That's
life, that's business... it sucks.
