Yep, I'm currently doing something similar to what Chuck says here,
e.g. I drag the eomodeld to the EOModeler application icon on my
Dock. That opens it. :-)
But, still wondering.... has anybody actually got the double clicking
of .eomodeld files to work on Xcode?
I tried asking the question on the xcode mailing list but it bounced
the first time saying it non-text/plain MIME parts where ignored.
Then the I tried a couple more times sending the message as plain
text and it still bounced but this time it gives me no good
explanation. So I gave up and decided to email the webobjects-dev
list. :-)

I have the same problem as Ricardo. I just created a shortcut to
EOModeler on my desktop, then drag the model out of
wretchedCodeThing and drop it on EOModeler.

Hi, Ricardo,
This sounds like Xcode has lost your .eomodeld directory, not that
it is trying to open it with the wrong editor.
I suggest that you select it in the Groups and Files list and
GetInfo on it. Check to see where Xcode thinks it is and confirm
that it is there. If it is, also check that you have the
appropriate permissions through Xcode to see and open it.
If it is in red on the list, then Xcode has definitely lost it. In
that case, click the "Browse" button in the GetInfo panel and
navigate to its current location.

Hi,
I'm trying to double click on a .eomodeld directory in Xcode's
Groups & Files view and have Xcode open it with EOModeler.
I opened my Xcode Preferences, clicked on File Types and then set
the Preferred Editor for wrapper.eomodeld to use External Editor,
e.g. EOModeler.
But still no luck. I double click on it and Xcode displays an
error panel with a message similar to this:
Could not find file /Users/ricardo/path/to/Foo.eomodeld.
Perhaps it was moved or deleted?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Ricardo Parada
