Hi, Joe.
I think I was one of the first to report this. I still don't believe
apple had any final solution, though I sent them as much detail as I
could. I'm guessing that Panther will probably fix this. But, contrary
to your experience, I could only ever get an xterm the first time I
used x11 after a reboot when I first discovered this. Recently, it
seems to be getting better, and I get xterms more often. The problem
seems to be within apple's xterm, because remote apps, including all
xterms I've ever tried, work fine. Apple did email me the latest xterm
code at one point and suggested I try recompile xterm, but a) I didn't
have time, and b) someone else told me they'd done it and it hadn't
made a difference. Of course, this was a while ago, so I wouldn't be
surprised if this is fixed now. :) Hope so!

PS: I'm on a 15" G4 Tibook too... think it's a connection??
