Sometimes this doesn't work. Right now, for example, I have a web
browser up (Chimera). I selected the text using the mouse. I did
Command-C (as well as selecting "Copy" from the "Edit" menu). I then
select X11 by punching the X icon on the dock. I then move to one of
my windows inside a vncviewer window and try to past the text. It
ends up pasting the text I last selected inside this vncviewer window
instead.
Works here with Option-click. I use this to paste between Chimera
(source page) and Bluefish when I know the code I search for is in the
page I'm viewing in Chimera and I'm too lazy to open the html file in
Bluefish.
