Wouldn't it be more politically correct for you to be using an HP
laptop. :-) Just kidding - I use my PowerBook for almost exactly the
same tasks - I'm part of a team which administers several hundred
DEC/Compaq/HP/whatever-its-called-this-week Tru64 boxes, ranging from
our compute farm of almost 400 DS10Ls right up through to our two GS320s.
Like you, I've switched from Linux on a PC laptop to OS X on a
PowerBook, and I don't regret it for an instant.

The only X client I use regularly is emacs on our Tru64 boxes - I tend
to use iTerm for terminal windows.
