Tim-
This is odd, because I do not notice this behavior (as you describe) at
all. I couldn't get the beta version to run with vnmr, so I can't
compare with what has been seen there by others. I can say that the
behavior I observe is the same now as it is with XDarwin. There must be
some hardware dependencies here.
My hardware is (fwiw):
Machine Model: Power Mac G4
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)
Number Of CPUs: 2
CPU Speed: 1 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
L3 Cache (per CPU): 2 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.33f2
I can tell from your scroll wheel comment that you are not using the
standard Apple optical mouse that I am - not sure why this would
matter, but it is an observation.
Wish I could be of more help.....

I'm not making too much progress running VNMR from MacOSX. Upgrading
to 10.3 went fine. X11 v1.0 w/SDK works well for most things, but I
now have the previous problem of being unable to select or click in
the second window (files or spectrum) because focus immediately goes
back to the top window. I can get a RIGHT-click into the second
window by rolling my scroll wheel, but normal LEFT- or MIDDLE-clicks
just disappear. toggling FFM makes no difference. I and others have
seen this behavior with the Beta version.
Any pointers?
Thanks, Tim
