I wondering if I understand this properly. I've installed the new universal version of Fink as per the instructions on a Macintel and I've installed the latest Fink Commander. Is every application and library that I now compile from source with Fink a universal? l see that Fink Commander and the Macintel Fink does not indicate an available binary for the packaged items as it does on a MacPPC. That makes sense to me because I would assume the net available binary versions are yet to be made. I have used Fink in this way to install/ compile from source on the Macintel the libraries required by another application not available via Fink. That application I compiled next from source without Fink on the Macintel and it runs just fine. So did I create a real Mcintel of this app or have I totally missed the boat?
