My #1 bug that I really wish they would fix is the "freeze when

Until yesterday, I hadn't seen a decent workaround to unfreeze X11
short of killing X11 and restarting it (which is not a reasonable
solution).
For those who haven't seen the solution and have this problem, you
can sample the X11 process in Activity Monitor and X11 will unfreeze.
This is another example of a bug about which we have received
countless reports; Most often, the hang happens while scrolling
with the mouse wheel in XEmacs. Unfortunately, I've spent about
an hour trying to reproduce it, and I can't make it happen. So,
yes, I believe you (and everyone else) when you say it's happened,
but without being able to see it first-hand, I can't fix it. :(
I had actually thought it was fixed, but I was able to make it happen
by scrolling very quickly up an xterm window just now. The key for
me is to have lots and lots of text in the buffer you are scrolling
up in and to do it very fast, using a scroll wheel. Now that I know
how to unfreeze it, I can work harder to reproduce it as it is
usually at a very bad time by definition -- when you have lots of
text in your buffer, you are often quite busy doing something
complex. :-)
