I have been using X11 on OS X heavily for many years. For the most

long way
towards making X11 feel more like OS X.
I'd like the ability to create an application or config file of some
sort that
could launch a new X11 server (hopefully showing up in the OS X
application list
with a different name and icon than the regular server) and then run
a command.
2.3.2_rc3 is a big step towards that. If you copy X11.app to
X11_other.app and edit the Info.plist to change org.x.X11 to
org.x.X11_other, you should be able to start the two separately. This
doesn't quite play nicely with the launchd DISPLAY yet (and hence why
I haven't really discussed it publicly yet). If you disable launchd
support (see the list FAQ on xquartz.macosforge.org), you should be
able to get multiple X11 servers this way.
Awesome. I'll play with that. Thanks.
