I'll obviously move us back to the new X.h/Xproto.h once there is

Can I make a selfish request that if you do decide to go with the
new X.h/Xproto.h that this change is held back from the Apple
distributed X11 until Snow Leopard? Otherwise it seems like a major
breakage to occur in a minor point release OS update, especially if
its a change that isn't necessary until 2010.
FTR, this file is not part of the OS anyways. It's part of XCode's
X11SDK package, so it wouldn't be updated with a Leopard update.
Fair enough, BTW this package we use does get compiled from scratch,
so the change in X.h/Xproto.h would affect it. I guess what you're
saying though is as long as our machine runs a stock XCode then the
compatibility should not be broken by a Software Update. This is the
sort of reassurance we need!
