I get the funky thing pointing to /tmp/soething. It's working
now that I installed the 2.2.2 package. My X11 use is not nearly
as complicated or demanding as many on this list. I typically
have between 20 and 30 ssh/xterms open to a multitude of Linux
and FreeBSD systems, so I click on the X11.app, exec ssh-agent,
then go about my business from there.
Other than xterms, I run a few python tKinter applications, the
gimp, and occassionally firefox on a Linux box to access
something on localhost (e.g. 3ware management).

I won't say much beyond saying that ``should'' is problematic.
There are many things I ``should'' do with software I have
developed over the 26 years I've been working on *nix systems,
but most times, if they're working, I don't have time to fix
them, much less dig into something like xfig or transfig.

I have deprecated the use of MS-Windows for 20 years, but it hasn't
gone away yet :-).
