That is probably since you are trying to do XDMPC. That is step two. Step
one is to do the stuff that I said. Connect to the Xvnc with a VNC viewer
(like Screen Sharing app) ssh -Y aixhost and do an xlogo to see if it
shows-up on your local Mac. Also do xdpyinfo to see if PsuedoColor is in
fact enabled.
Then you know you have made progress. Step two is to get the XDMCP to
work. For that you will need to pass '-query aixhost' to the command line
options passed to Xvnc but since you are doing XDMPC you may end-up
chaning sbstantially how you start-up Xvnc anyway.
BTW '-cc 3 -depth 8' are the key options you need to pass to Xvnc to have
PsuedoColor work.
