Of course, I'm deliberately misunderstanding you. What you really

Cocoa." What you really mean is that there are some reasons that
people have to use X11 applications. In this, I do agree. I think it
would be pretty neat to be able to view an app running on my server.
In this case, I think you would have better luck porting VNC, not X11.
Hi John,
Sorry for not being more precise.
What I mean is I actually know a good number of people that prefer to
use a X11 interface over a Cocoa interface (I guess I should have
included the word interface).
Not that they always have to. That is to say, I know some people that
would rather run the same given program using a X11 graphical user
interface over a Cocoa graphical user interface any day.
Perhaps because of their familiarity with X11 interfaces, or perhaps
it is because they have to use X11 interfaces so running an app in X11
is better integrated with other X11 interface applications, perhaps
they just like the features of X11 interfaces, perhaps the don't like
all the foofoo and glitter sometimes associated with Cocoa interfaces,
perhaps they like the customization capabilities of an X11 interface
and so on.
And yes, I do realize that these "X11 interface people" might
represent the minority of Apple users, however I think they count and
add up in numbers...
Sincerely,
