It does (through the spaces preference pane), but it only works per application, not window, so you're stuck with having all x11 windows on all desktops or none of them, it's really not a solution. The closest thing I've found to get per window is having x11 on all spaces, use a non quartz-wm window manager and maintain a set of desktops in that window manager which mirrors your spaces (I didn't say it was very close :P). In the end I just gave up on it and found aqua equivalents for what I wanted to have on all spaces.
