This isn't the link Jeremy wants. A Radar bug number is 7 digits, in
the 6000000 range for recently-filed new bugs. For bonus points, write

TERM=xterm-color and
use the 'clear' command before starting/removing the editor (vim/
less) the
problem goes away. I'm not an expert, but I wonder if this is
really an
issue with ncurses in Leopard?
Running `clear` first has the same effect as hitting `return` a bunch
of times. The content on screen is all pushed into the scrollback, so
when the editor starts and overwrites the non-scrollback data it
doesn't erase anything you actually wanted. Still a good workaround,
though.
