Ok then it's definitely something outside of our DDX which changed between 1.4 and 1.5, so that is very difficult to track down since XQuartz wasn't usable on master during that development period. This is something which will hopefully go away once we are using COMPOSITE. Please work on getting me a reproduction case which I can use to debug further. Try using QuickTime's screen capture capability.
