Is any of this attributable to different apps having different cut/
paste
styles? There are two main schemes in use in the X11 world; AFAIR,
xterm
Three, actually; at least some versions of xterm still use cut
buffers, Ghu knows why. (I should not have to use xcutsel in this day
and age! See above.)
In any case, no, PRIMARY vs CLIPBOARD has caused me much grief in the
past, but appears to be uninvolved here. Current XQuartz, at least on
Leopard, lets you select PRIMARY vs. CLIPBOARD; I've tried both
settings, and neither resolves the problem.
