I want to see .properties file in the xcode editor
currently I just assigned text.html.other (via Get Info) so I can see
content of that file
when I click on in it in the xcode
but I'd like to tell to xcode that any .properties file should be
opened by default xcode editor
I thought I can add new file type like text.properties via general
xcode preferences
but I didn't find the option to add custom file types
thanks

I'd like to add .properties type

You can throw any files you want into a Xcode project. I keep
documents and such in the project and then uncheck them so they aren't
included in the build. So when you say "is it possible to add new file
type" what are you specifically asking? Do want to just add them to
the project or do you want some special kind of formatting or
compiling? Do you want the file copy some where when you compile?
I think you will need to describe what you are trying to do.
Mike
