CocoaJava targets do not use the native build system and do not
support building universal products (i.e. both PPC and Intel).

Thanks Niels for this highly detailed process; I'm sure it will be
useful to some. Alas, I now think this is not "relevant" for
Cocoa-Java projects (or rather, for projects containing non-native
targets).
Indeed, in such a context, the GUI for setting properties' values of
targets is different (there's no "Architectures" choice), and my last
attempt—adding an ARCHS variable with "ppc" as value in the "Expert
View" of my target—didn't lead me anywhere (Xcode still builds an
*Intel*-compliant build even if everything is set as "ppc"!!!)
Too bad :( !
