So, if I build App foo to the directory:
~/MySource/Debug/Foo
libFooSupport1.a must also be placed into
~/MySource/Debug/Foo
?

Sadly, you *must* build your app and libs to the same build product
directory. I used to have the same problems until I relented and
set things up that way.

That worked!!! Thank you thank you thank you! I thought that was
for dynamic libraries!
Spread the word!
Now if I could figure out why I must delete the executable in
order to link in any changes made to source files in those static
libraries. Perhaps you have the answer oh venerable sage of wisdom
and knowledge?
:)
Thank you!

I'm happy for you that you are able to debug.
I can click in the gutter and a breakpoint appears, but Xcode
will happily skip past them.
Typing "info breakpoints" into GDB tells me that the breakpoint
is pending. The source code is in a static library. The static
library is created by the same project I am debugging. The
source is all there available to Xcode.
Could you see if "Load symbols lazily" is checked in the
Debugging preferences? If so, try unchecking it and see if it
makes a difference.
