Here is my one big combo wish (and I filed a feature enhancement -
4636204)
I can't figure out how to use XCode. The most conformtable layout for
me is All-in-One but it's an awkward comfort. I want synchronization
between the Group Tree and the Editor. I want only project files in
the project window; non-project files open in their own window,
outside any other project. When debugging a framework or plugin, do
not allow editing non-project files but provide an "Open in Project"
command. Maybe the debugger should be in its own window and not allow
compiling so that I don't constantly compile the project instead of
the framework.
I would like to get a discussion going, not on what is wrong with
XCode but how to use it better. It's good to provide feedback but
XCode is what we have and I could definitely use more tips on using
what we've got so I spend less time complaining to myself about what
is wrong :). I'll start a new thread though.
Marc
