Odd note, in the past iTunes would convert / play system 7 sounds,
but it won't with this one.
Did you try using Quicktime Player? I have my old Codewarrior
safely stored in disk images. Codewarrior 1 and 6. But those images
won't mount (-199 error) :(. I even fired up Classic and tried from
there. So I can't try it myself.
If I use "Open File" in Quicktime Player, I get a dialog box that
says: "Error opening movie The Movie could not be opened."
It looks like we have to use third party software to extract and
convert System 7 sounds. At least those utilities are around.
Part of me finds it odd that Apple doesn't seem to support System 7
sounds. But then not supporting them forces developers to use the
more recent / standardized formats. Standardization is a good thing
overall.
