Perhaps, if possible, an option in XCode itself that would let
users turn on/off localization globally for each supported
language. I like the idea of Templates, but I don't like the idea
of having to modify the system templates to get rid of localized
files (and then having to remember to do that again after the next
upgrade).
To avoid having to keep fixing them on each upgrade, I copied the
templates I wanted to change to ~/Library/Application Support/Apple/
Developer Tools/.
Instead of putting all the templates into separate subfolders, I put
them all in a folder called " Favorites" (note the initial space) so
that my customized templates always show up at the top of the New
File/Project Assistant list.
She here's kinda what it looks like:
~/Library/Application Support/DeveloperTools/File Templates/ Favorites
C File.pbfiletemplate
C++ File.pbfiletemplate
...
Objective-C test case class.pbfiletemplate
~/Library/Application Support/DeveloperTools/Project Templates/
Favorites
C++ Tool
Cocoa Application
...
Standard Tool
I'm much happier now that I've set it up this way, as I've made the
templates all use a consistent coding style and removed extraneous
stuff I don't need.
